Mythology..just a collection of myths.
A classic from the list of given books. I think I'm reading The Count of Monte Cristo
And a modern classic. I think I'm reading either Fallen Angels or The Heart is a Lonely Wanderer
Edit:
*Oh woops.. The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter
I just got it. Screw Count of Monte Cristo.. I think I'm reading Emma instead. Jane Eyre looks painstakingly boring. Anyone read it?
---
Also.. I'm a dork. I've got a whole list of books I wanna read. It's got about 40 on there, and I've finished 15. I started it in April or something...

Fahrenheit 451
Lord of the Flies
I have to read Fahrenheit 451 as well, but that's the only book. There are a few other books I have to read, but they're all for extra credit.

Lord of the Flies
I read Lord of the Flies for a book report once. The symbolism in that book is amazing. I'd like to read Fahrenheit 451, it sounds really good. My high school wants me to read Farewell to Manzanar, although i haven't started it. I'm too busy reading Star Wars novels. They're so cool!!! ^_^

I have to read Farenheit 451, Brave New World, and Odepius....Relatively easy work to go with it, comparative theme anaylsis, and relevance essay.

I have to read Night. It's good and it's the second time I have to read it, and I do have to say that it isn't as dark as I remember.

I have to read Crime and Punishment. We would probably had to do an analytical report on it too, but since some guy sued his school since he was to busy at his job to write a report on it, we don't have to do that anymore.

My summer thing sucks. I have to read 3 books from a list and make a box filled with things relating to the books. I have to make comparisons, connections, and, of course, the 10 page summaries.

Believe me, it will be. They talked about it like it was going to be...shudder...fUn! The teachers just don't get it. We only have so many summers until we get a job and get serious about life. *Sigh* I think I'm gonna do about 5/12 of the project, see what my next year techers think of me. Heh (o")o

That's The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. I would go with the latter but that's just a personal preference. Fallen Angels is a good book but you can find the same type of message in any other good war book/movie.
I used have to do summer reading, some of the stuff I've read are:
The Illiad
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter
Huckleberry Finn
Farenheit 451
Don't remember the rest
Alas Bablyon....
This book SUCKS!!! It has no point! I have to read another book. Probably going to make it Lord of the Flies cause I heard it was good.

read it. You'll like it. And I just started reading it yesterday and I finished it today.

AP English 3..... I have to read...
The Awakening by Kate Chopin
Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
The Jungle by Upton Sinclair
Not only reading the books, but for each book I have 8 pages of work to fill out. Joy. I also have to write an essay on The Jungle for my American History AP class.
Have I started any of the reading or do I even have the books? Nope. :D

Go with an outlet store or the library. Either of them are sure to have them and they'll be a hell of a lot cheaper.

Well, I had a $20 gift card to borders, so I didn't have to pay anything : )
Plus, I plan on writing in these books and taking notes in them. Can't do that to library ones.

Bish, Wuthering Heights I had to read this year. It's really really easy. You could even go and like.. rent the movie and get most of the plot. It really really sucks though. >:O I hated all the characters
