Anybody Read A Called Negima!

Negima! is weird manga book, but it's funny. It's about a ten year old boy who came from a wizard school and had to go Japan and teach a english class in a all girl school. All the girls in the english class didn't believe he was a teacher and later on they believe he was a teacher. The kid name is Negi Springfield. As he was teaching some of girls started to like him. "I mean like like him" I only have book 1 & 2 and going to get the rest later in the summer.

I how someone have heard or read this book.

Absolute Crap. Its just a basically a really, really bad version of Love Hina because Ken Akamatsu is an extremely bad writer and has absolutely no good ideas left in him.

I think its pretty good. I didnt like the beginning too much but it starts to develop a storyling from book 5 or so.

Yeah I like it. The begining suck. I read 3-5 it's getting better.

I think what OtakuBerserker is trying to say is that Ken Akamatsu can only write stereotypical shojo. And even then, the setups are almost the exact same. If you try to compare his work (Love Hina, Negima, A.I. Love You) you'll find that plot-wise and character-wise, it's basically the same, with small twists here and there. It's pretty much: guy gets thrown into situation that involves contact with lots and lots of beautiful (and single) women, many "accidental" sexual situations with said women and said guy happen.

EDIT: Also, this needs to be moved to the Anime/Manga section. Eventually.

meh, I really enjoy Ken Akumatsu's artwork and all [er..not the hentail part >.>"] but I agree, once you read Love Hina you've read it all. Some nerdy boy who never gets girls is thrown into a harem of beautiful women, add buckets of fanservice, and you've got yourself a Ken Akumatsu creation. And with Negima, it just shows how low he'll go for some cash. I mean..it's bordering on pedophilia. Hell, it IS full of stuff some pedophile would enjoy reading -_-"" It's good for some laughs, but...meh...I kind of drew a line after the first volume of Mahou Sensei Negima. I mean..a ten year old boy who can blow off clothing by sneezing, or a teacher who envisions his pre-adolescent students nude.....what good can come of this..

I strongly dislike Ken Akamatsu's work so I find Negima to be complete and utter crap. They're in the middle of making an anime for it right now, by the way. Isn't that disgusting?

Nix the overwhelming underage fanservice and Negima is actually quite interesting.The plot is a bit intriguing and the action scenes are pretty awesome, and they're the only reasons why I look forward to the latest novel (though I'll never buy them). It's a damn shame Akamatsu is such a perv and appeals to such.
