sweet, im gonna ride my bike.... i never bought a comic b4 in my life, but free ones are good ones i guess. plus i can sell it on ebay

You could get a superman comic, or you could get some random local author. you get whatever the shop you go to gets from their distrubitor.

most likely it would be crappy i always go to comic stores on wednesday and thursdays those are the day new comic comes out

good idea, you could probably sell 1 for alot 2 a huge comic book fan!

Actually having worked in a comic shop I can say most large companies, like Marvel DC and Darkhorse, creat a half-size comic for free that starts off a new series. They have the large titles out for free, so I doubt they suck... The free comic day is to give you an insentive to continue buying that series, and coming into the comic shop to look around.

The comic store near me, and the one I used to work had, holds parties on that day with free food and drink for all that walk in the door. There's also drawings and prizes and stuff.They also crack open a few games, and let the people play games while they're there too. It's a fun day. ^.^

I heard of this day before but I didn't know the exact date of it.
I don't own original comics, but it'd be nice to for a change. I used to read some old school ones back in the days when I got the chance. Now all I usually get to read is manga.

yes they were. anyway what comics did everyone get free on free comic book day? I managed to get the first & thrid book in a new series called vampi vicious

I always go for the free ones, and then go back a week later, and since I know the owner, and my friend lives on the same block as the comic shop, we get the free indy comics that really own, last year they even had Barry Ween for free!
