Skateboarding Shoes

I was gonna post this in this other skateboarding forum but i forgot my PW and knew there are a couple of skaters here. What are the top 5 best skate-shoe companies? i was thinking of getting the eS Accels and wanted to see if eS is a top 10 company. on that skate forum, half say they kick major ass and the other half say dont bother with them.

I hate etnies. I have two pairs of Adios in my closet, I'm eyeing out a pair of Osiris, and I think my grandmom bought me some Globes for my birthday. (Even though it's only Feb) So yeah there's my top three. ^_^

Geeeeez, how many types of skating shoes are there??? They all serve the same purpose don't they...like extra cushion at the bottom for comfort? I really don't know anything about them, but wow...I would have trouble naming 5 regular shoe companies.

I like DC's, Etnies, Circa, and es. But the one's I like the most are Converse(even thought they're not skate shoes)

Circa fall apart easy. I think globe's and Cd's are some of the best. I had a part of Axions and those have to be my favorite. To bad Kareem Campbell swtiched over to DC. he had some nice shoes.

DONT get the accels. theyre like basic skate shoe, nothing great about them and not alot to offer.
vans are okey if your not getting the classic ones. get like a pro model, not the old-skools or slip-ons, those are bad.
so dvs,globes, or try the new company fallen(jamie thomas' company)

If you can, try on a bunch of different brands, to get a feel for the shoes. =P Since they arent all the same.

I've had 'es and etnies, and I like both of them, but I prefer etnies more.

DC's, Es(only the accel model), DVS, Fallen, Lakai, Circa. Vans are cheap, Etnies are ugly(except like 2 models). Etnies/Vans=Stereotype of a punk rocker who is a poser, and skates because he feels he needs to live up to the "skater punk" reputation. Real skateboarders get the shoes I mention. BTW, I hear Nike's are good too, but I'm not into Nike.

Oh, and the whole poser thing you said, im sure there are many ppl out there who can skate better than you who wear etnies/vans. The shoes dont make the skater, his desire to skate does. ANd if you are gonna stereotype, i might as well too. I see you have 182 in your name, so you must like blink 182, and obvisously you are a sellout with no talent, just like them.

Hmm, I wore those SOAP shoes way back in the 90s, because I thought I would actually try grinding on things. One week of failed attempts later, the shoes were little more than regular shoes to me.

no verbal knock out here, but the artos and vallely's i heard last LONG. and its not what company makes what, its what "stamina" the shoe has. like if nike air forces dont rip easy and the soles stay long on griptape, then i'll skate in them because they last long, not because nike makes them.
