I read about 3 of the books a few years ago. They started out really good, got extremely boring, and then got unimaginably good in the last few chapters so I would have to go read another. It made me mad at the time, but I would be willing to give them another chance now.

The Dragonlance Series is about the world of Krynn and the continent of Anslon. on Krynn many races of people try to survive and erradicate each other, there are the Elves, created by the gods of good, fairest of races, that are pregidous agenst all other races and never come out of their two kingdoms unless they themselves are threatened.
There are the Humans, created by the gods of neutrility, shortest lived, but hold sway over the light or darkness on which will win.
There are the Dwarves created by Rerox, a god of neurtrilty, who stay hiddin in their under ground mountain, working the earth
There are the Ogres, created by god gods of evil, rarely heard of but allyays come out of their kingdom during the great wars.
Then there are the Gnomes, Kender, and Draconians, Too varied for me to talk abou know, but add a uniqueness to the story.
And Then the Dragons, Black, Red, Blue, Green, White, Brass, Copper, Bronze, Silver, and Gold, 5 for good and 5 for evil. They are much greater mentioned in Dragonlance than any where else in fantasy liturature.
All of these races duke it out on a world where the gods have a direct influence over the lives of mortals, always vieing for dominance, always ending in balence.
