I'm not that surprised that the US lost a game in the olympics. What I am surprised about though is the fact that the US lost by 19 points! They really need to somehow get their real all-stars on that team like Jason Kidd, Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Shaq. They just need those five and they should easily win the gold medal.

I wish we could get our all star players over there, but it all comes down to one problem: MONEY. Our best and brightest make so much money from NBA Basketball, that if they are not getting paid top-dollar, they will see no reason to bother playing.

Ha ha, that game was so wacked. Puerto Rico made a lot of three point shots. It's too bad that most of our best players weren't there.

The player's problem was not only money, but security and the fatigue. with terrorism threats and a 82 game series just winding down. most player wouldn't want to waste a vacation
[although i would go on the queen mary II after a 82 game series in enemy territory if i had the chance]

i highly doubt we'll get a gold.

Some people use the 3 inch shorter 3 point line as an excuse. I just think our team didn'y practice enough before the Olympics. They seem too ****y. I don't believe there were any flukes or mishaps. They lost twice fair and square. The first time was questionable. But after the second loss, that just showed it had nothing to do with their luck.

The reason were losing? It aint a U.S. Team thats playing, its 5 all stars. Send THe nuggets out there, and they wont lose a game. Why? becuase there a team.

It's not that simple marth. It's the players choice if they want to go, and they didn't. boozer did and he was a good pf for their choices. so they took him in.

The US team had too many all-star players. Instead of getting guards and fowards, they needed more centers. Tim Duncan can't be the only dominating center. The Pistons themselves could've beaten this team.
