No more "check out my sig" threads...

The reason he didnt make this a sticky in every forum is because this is the only forum that has a problem with it. None of the other sections has any of those threads. If it was a problem in every forum he would have made a sticky for each section but its only a problem in this one...

Well i agree with DJ, but how about if they agree to delete the thread (and actually do it) after people stop commenting it, and if they fail o delete it, if you find anymore of them making threads like that you can delete theres....but then theres also the work of the moderators to consider...But i guess if the moderators are to "Busy" to worry about those kind of things you can ban it and tell them to ask people on a place like gaia or somethin

capn If your going to make it against sigs you should amke it against all kinds of art. our wsigs are art, Discriminating against one wouldnt be fair. One or all...

The problem with that is most people want the others to comment on their sig, and have like 20 people posts sigs wont give opinons or whatever to someone that was poster 8. It wouldnt be a very productive thread for some people.

If you want some comments on your sig, don't waste a whole thread dedicated to just one single sig. How about you guys put "any comments about my sig? pm me" right below your sig. If your sig is totally kick ass and awesome, then someone may just pm you about it. I would, if it caught my eye and deserved praise.

And why do you guys seem to care so much about getting comments? Just make the damn sig and be happy with it. That seems to be what most people do anyways.

The truth of the matter is people arent going to go out of the way that often to give you some advice. Now if they get a post out of it they do it. Crazy, but thats how dragid works unfortuantly.


Why do people post poems , or drawings, or there song lyrics? People want to here other people complements and critiques on there work.

You know, I agree, not only should people stop making threads dedicated to one sig, but I think people should stop making all these threads displaying one poem (a mediocre one albeit) or one piece of artwork. When ever I post art, I always make sure I do it in the artwork thread, I don't go and make a whole new thread for it.

yup. I have. But please, do it over AIM. Surely you guys don't want every person that sees your sig to coment on it, and you only have a few people that you would actually take advice from.

It's not that hard to say:
"hey dude, check out this sig I made"
<inserts sig>
"wow, thats cool, but I would change <thing> about it."

Obviously it wouldn't be typed that well, because it's over AIM, but you get the point.

That beats getting replies like "cool" or "I don't like it", because those aren't saying anything.

How about we solve this problem by making a Digital Arts category...easy enough, right? -_- It's not that hard to make a new category, and actually, things are more organized if you put it in Digital Art, Traditional Art, Stories, Poems, Lyrics, Songs.....if you made the arts section with those sub-categories, things would be a lot more organized, and smooth. As one forum admin to another, I am just giving a suggestion. And as for the sig threads, I say, Let them live.

If there were a lot more active users, and the forums were cluttered, topics being bumped within an hours time, then i can see sub-categories. Sure its a good idea, but all in all, its just not worth it with the amount of threads as is. When this or any other section gets that amount of bumping, we'll think of adding sub categories. Nice suggestion though ^_^

Hey, It has been awhile but I always stoip by and read what is happening on this forum

I would have to agree with DJ on this one because I am on some sig forums and it is alwaus nice to comment on sigs and help other people out on a final product because not all sig makers know what they want on the sig or what makes it cool. That is just my opinion.

What an odd thread to bring back from the dead...

I usually just use photobucket to test my images. Usually I'll test it out in different formats and upload 4 or 5 to see how they show up online. Then I delete the scrap. I haven't had time during school, but I am so making a new sig because this one is an eyesore.

"post your sigs here/requests" and explain if theres a request,
that they should PM the person they want to make it about it.
