Ever accidentally entered a contest and won?

I was on poetry.com, first time. I was trying to put my poem on there and I accidentaly entered. Well, I just won $20,000 because of it. But, even though it may sound crazy, I don't want to be entered into the contest. This is the poem.

Beloved

A dog's small world is full of things,
Of full food bowls and sights unseen,
Of rolling fields and comfy chairs,
But, most of all, you standing there.

And when end is drawing near,
And you are trying to stem your tears,
She licks your hand with a happy sigh,
Content that you are standing by.

And when she reaches Heaven's Gates,
The Lord says, "Come." But she says,
"Wait, I have a friend I love so dear,
And I can feel his footsteps near."

Your lifetime's passed,
You're near God's throne.
One happy glance,
You're not alone.
Your beloved pet, so patient waits,
To cross with you through Heaven's Gates.

Nope. Never happened. But I have entered in a small art show and never expected to win anything, but did. But that's nothing weird. lol. I love your poem, it's really good. No wonder it won (even if you didn't want it there :D)

Yes, I have accidently won stuff before. There was an audition for a theatre arts and speech tournament. It was a tournament that all the schools in the nation went to, and to get on the nationals team was like, an honor. My friend Jessica was auditioning for Humorous monolouge, and she said "Fatima! I don't want to be alone! Come audition for something!" and I said "Fine, I'll audition for dramatic monolouge!" even though I thought I wouldn't make it, I memorized four pages in one night, and I actually made it onto the nationals team!

its happened to me once.
when i was in 4th grade,there was a local drawing competition at the library.figuring i had a small shot,i entered.i drew an aztec warrior,had the teach send it in,and didnt see it again until i was in 7th grade,where i found it it went WAY past the library comp. and got entered into the LA county fair competition,where i was a finalist..
its funny because i drew that in the middle of my fourth grade year, never saw for 4 years,and completely forgot about it until i saw it at the end of my seventh grade year..crazy ^_^

I sent in a poem to poetry.com before! It was some sappy sonnet I had been violently forced into writing for my english class (I used every empty flower clique there was and got a perfect 'A'). Anywho, they've been emailing me for two years about some award I'm supposed to recieve at some convention in flordia.... Yeah. I'm too lazy to even read my emails sometimes, let alone fly my butt down to flordia to 'recieve' an award. I'm waaaaaay to cynical to beleieve I "BAAAAM!" won something anyway, you know?
