this sort of applies to all sports but here's the question. how do you control your anger while in the middle of a game or something? when i'm playing tennis, i usually end up getting pretty mad because i keep on screwing up then i blow my shots at victory. any athletes out there know how to control their emotions in the middle of a game?

you relax. dont put the pressure on yourself. never EVER think "if i make this shot, then i win" because you will miss. treat it like any other shot. thats what i do at least.

Just take a deep breath and relax. If you're calm and have fun, you'll do better than if you're stressed and determined to win.

I know how ya feel. In bball at my school the school team is mostly asians, we went to another school and they were yelling out nips. The team was calling us *****es. Ahahah we were pretty calm though. When ya feel like your going to get mad just calm yourself down. What's the whole point of having negative thoughts when it just screws up your game. Look at Kornikova!! She freaken suxors at tennis but shes famous. xDD I'm not saying you should suck like Kornikova though.

you have to redirect your anger. when something goes against your favor you'll be mad at first, naturally, but you have to learn to use that anger to benefit you. it takes practice to control the anger. use the anger to fuel you to win. adrenaline is at its highest. flight or fight. lose the game or kick the opponents ass. it seems cliche i guess but try it. it won't hurt.
