What is your fav, castlevania game/character/soundtrack. my fav character is Alucard, hes a hardass. best game rando of blood for the pc engine. and the soundtrack that rocks is symphony of the night all the way. if ya dont know what castlevania is learn here (http://www.classicgaming.com/castlevania/dungeon.htm) and check out the castlevania that never was (castlevania ressurection for dreamcast)

Yeah, Castlevania is probably one of the best game series out there. My favorite is Symphony of the Night. My favorite character is Richter, because he was the best Belmont ever. Best soundtrack is also Symphony of the Night.

SotN for game and ST, Alucard for character, but my favorite Belmont is probably Leon, just because LoI is my 2nd favorite CV, and I've been playing them since the first, way back in the day.

Man, i must be one of the only ones who likes the ones on the NES. I love #3 best. but i loved the soundtrack to CV2 on NES. Damn, the Town Theme, Bloody Tears, and Simon's Theme are some of the best damn tracks i've ever heard. They sound so much better when you listen to the OverClocked Remixes.

Well, unless you include the ones i played as a kid ive only played one castlevania, which was lament of innocence. id probly have to say joachim armster was the coolest, i even have him as my sig(thanks flowergilr :)). and leons pretty sweet too. hell all the characters in LoI were badass, but joachim pwns :cool:

my fav tracks from the game were lament of innocence, melancholy joachim, admiration of a clan, and the track in the dark palace of waterfalls. :)

Hell yeah. Joachim Armster is the Best CV Guy in the history of CV. Direct Qutoe from Joachim:"Damn Walter..I would have won, were it not for his ebony stone.." Best CV game ever made was CV LoI. Best soundtrack was the House of Sacred Remains and Ghostly Theater tracks. BTW can someone PLEASE Make me a Joachim Armster Avatar???lol..just asking...

Its concept is basically that of Super Mario Brothers 1.... only with a different character, different setting, and you whip the shit out of shit instead of jumping on them or throwing balls of fire. He chucks knives, holy water (i call them T3h H0ly H4nd Gr3n4d3 of T3h Ass Whoppin') and battle axes.. and boomerang crosses... how the hell can you not like that?

but... different strokes for different folks. (hehehe, stroke)

Oh yeah, Castlevania's cool. I like Simon, Richter, Juste, and Julius Belmont. I haven't really played SoN so my favorite is Aria of Sorrow... the story in that game is quite possibly the best of the Castlevanias, great plot twists. Soundtrack? Hm, I like Simon's theme and Bloody Tears, and some of the music from AoS.

Anyone else think it kinda sounds like this guy has never played any of the old Castlevanias? Sure I like LoI as much as the next guy but it's the only one he talks about...and with it being the most recent...kinda makes me wonder, ya know?

I love the Castlevania series, Best game has to be Dracula X (AKA Vampires Kiss) Richter is my fave belmont, Death is my fave other. SotN and LoI had good songs in em.

Like many others, I love SOTN. One of the best platformers ever. Though I hated Lament of Innocence. It was as if they had taken Devil May Cry and removed most of the cooler elements and made it much harder. Hopefully, if they make another 3-D one, the learn from their mistakes.

yeah Rondo of blood is much much better than Dracula x. Grafficly,musicly and story line. its the same game its just they went all out for rando of blood. the sad thing is the pc engine didnt catch on here, so RoB didnt make it to big. :angry: but its all good. has anyone listened to the castlevania resurrection sound track? and was it any good?

i havent found an english version of one yet. If ya find one tho its gonna be BIG bucks. there where selling one "jap version" for like $250.00 so i just downloaded it off the net, and a pc engine.

I haven't had the pleasure of playing any of the older Castlevania games, and I'm fairly new to the series. I've played Lament of Innocence. And that's about it. I really want to play SotN though.

From what I've read about him (and seen) I'd say Richter is my favorite character. He's pretty hot too.

My favorite track from LoI would be Dark Palace of Waterfalls. Gosh I love it. I've been listening to that track constantly day and night. It's sounds so... seductive.

I finally maganed to get Rondo of Blood on my PC (with files and an emulator, a long annoying process). It's cool, it actually has cutscenes and stuff. Unfortunately, it's such a hacked version, sound files are missing for some of the cutscenes and I wonder if the graphics are as good as the original.

No doubt, Symphony of the Night is the best Castlevania game. The game rocks, the music kicks rocks, and Alucard kicks ass. Definitely one of my favs on PlayStation.

Well for the ppl who like the music in the game you do know that symphony x did pretty much all the music for it. But ive come to the conclusion that loI is the worst castlevania along with the n64 ones......... dont get me wrong they had a decent plot and what not but LoI was just repetitive. it felt like every room was the same as the last....... big BIG dissapointment.

I played a little bit of Symphony of the Night and it seems very good. I realize that it's a much longer game than any of the GBA games because it's on a disc, not a cartrige, but... I love using the vampire-killer, okay? I love Harmony of Dissonance because you get use the whip AND magic attacks. And as far as Gameplay and Variety goes, doesn't Soma Cruz have more weapons and powers to choose from than Alucard?
