ok now i'm trying to get 100%done in ffx-2 and i heard from my friend that he saw somewhere that u have to beat a over souled version of a monster at least once in order to get 100% could someone clearify this cause thats ridiculous over souled fiends donlt cme to often for me. BTW in case u guys didnlt alreay know this, in shinra's beastary the monsters name sthat are kinda glowish like instead of the normal text are the ones u've over souled.

No, you don't have to beat an oversoulled version of ANY monsters to beat it, nothing like that counts towards completion points. The things that count towards completion points are missions, visiting certain areas, getting certain items, MAKING SURE YOU REST IN THE CABIN OF CELSIUS AT LEAST ONCE PER CHAPTER, and also DO NOT give the sphere to New Yevon, you will only be able to get 99% completion, to get 100% completion you MUST give the sphere at the beginning of the game to the Youth League, so if you screwed that one up already and your only goal is 100% you better start over.

the only purpose of oversouling all of the monsters is to receive the "The End" garment grid from shinra.

when you equipped this garment grid it allows you to deal 99,999 damage when you complete the grid. the only catch is that you must have never run away from a fight or else the ablilty will go according to your strength stats.
