There's one thing I don't understand in Nosgoth's history and that would be the creation of a vampire.
As it was told, the race of ancients were cursed with thirst for blood and became sterile, doomed to extinction, but they managed to pass on the curse to humans, who became vampires.
Now, we've only seen two of these transformations in the story: first it was Kain who was murdered and brought back from hell by the necromancer, and then it was Raziel who was murdered in the crusades and resurected a millenium later by Kain himself.
So we have this logic: humans are resurected - humans become vampires - vampires become elder vampires - elder vampires resurect humans.
But there are things that don't coincede with this logic.
The necromancer Mortaneus was not an elder vampire.
And why is this process of death and resurection to humans connected to the creation of vampires? And what about elder vampires, like Vorador? Are they destined to become ancients? It seems reasonable that vampires slowly go through metamorphoses ultimately to resemble and become what had created them, the ancients. But why is resurection involved?
If anyone has an explaination it would be greatly appreciated
