i just got a rush of hardcoresness

for some reason lately i just got a rush of being hardcore bout games. I dug out my virtual boy n played all the games and tried to beat them, boy was that fun. Then i hooked up my sega geneisis and snes and played them all day, and had a blast, next to find my intellivision which i haven't played for quite some years, and i've been playing all my old ff's. now i think i can call my self a hardcore gamer and stuff like that, but does anyone else get rushes for old-school games, like i'm 14 its a friday night and i stayed in all day playing old school games, usually i'd be out wit friends, but i stayed in and had alot more fun. so anyway does anyone else just get that need to go back to the glory days of 8-bit and 16-bit days.

ahh thats always fun to go back and played some old school games that you havent played in years
usally like once every few months i go back and plug in my good ol' nintendo 64 and play super mario 64 and try to beat it again
its always fun to go back and play the 1st games yah ever owned :)

awww man i got that same way for some reason.. i like got me snes out and just started bustin out all the donkey kongs.. it was pimp. even thoghu i beat them already i beat each one in about 2 days

i play TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) on my SNES occasionally not many other games though

i tend to cycle through final fantasy games in something similar to what your describing. Usually start back at 7 then go through them in order. Oftentimes that's when I try something tricky too like playing through the game with just one character or one character and his initial equipment setup. Its always good fun to be had...

Hardcore? hahaha...when you're able to say you got out out your Atari ST520 and played such classics as Harlequin and Fish, maybe then you might be on the road to being hardcore.

Hehe yeah its good sometimes to play those timeless classics, like Zelda. A few days ago I dug up my PG64 and tried to play some Majora's Mask but its hard to controll Link on the keyboard...its irritating because I couldnt do something right and kept messing up...lol so I just gave up and havent opened the stupid thing ever since. Im such a quitter...lol.

well, i REALLY wanted to play Guilty Gear X2 the other day... you know what i'm talkin' about, shoeless prophet... well, my PS2 is broken. i'm so hardcore, i'm gonna get a shiny, new one. <-- hardcore in the truest form =)

I like playing old games ^^ I play them pretty often too. Like Contra and Zelda for the Nintendo. Contra's awsome. I love old school arcade games too like Joust and Defender. Joust kicks ass.

So now i play snes and nes when i get bored. Doesnt matter what game though. I do it on a regular basis. Matter of fact recently i play more snes than gamecube and xbox. o_O Its just more fun.

heh, my snes has been hooked up for a long time, even tho we have an xbox and gamecube. my bro and I have been playin the DK games as well, and mortal kombat 2. :)

2 days huh, try beating the 2nd or 3rd one in 2 days, with getting every secret area and item. ;)

when i go to my grandmas shes got a sega genesis and i love to play the sonic games especially cuz i havent beaten the first or second yet i can get to the last place but cant beat them!!
