Sony has come with a second version of the PlayStation 2. PlayStation X has an internal HDD and a DVD-RW inside. You are able to burn your own videos onto DVDs with this new console. It is currently out in Japan only.

ooo it looks so pretty and white.....but i probably wont buy it even if it comes out in the US cuz i just bought a ps2 and im too lazy to buy that one.....when they come out with a system that has good games that i cant play on my outdated one, then i might consider buying it......

It's a little late for Sony to be releasing something like that in my opinion. I mean with PS3 right around the corner (sort of) and the fact that everyone who ever planned to buy a PS2 has already done so...I just don't see it selling very well, at least not in the US. Had they released this maybe 2 years ago...it'd be a different story.

i dont want it its stupid, plus they cant do much more to ps3 except make the graphics a little bit better and i think id rather have my ps2 instead of wasting loads of money on these new systems

don't get your hopes because i read that when it comes down here to the USA that' it'll be butchered so say bye bye to the burner drive and a whole bunch of other things.

I've been hearing and looking at the PSX for a year or so now. Im just waiting for it to come out in the U.S. when it does I'll buy it, my PS2 is broken so I might as well get one that has tivo features.
