The First Band you Can Remember Liking

I was just curious what band everyone first liked. I found that most people listen to that type of music for the rest of there lives, or something close to it. For me it was The Beatles and Pink Floyd. I still love both of the bands too. Also my first House group I liked was House of 909, Basement Jaxx, and Apollo 440 , all of these bands I still listen to also. :cheers:

same here. i think linkin park was the first band and artist i ever really started listening to. im pretty sure that hybrid theory was my first CD, too. i used to be obsessed with them :lol: i knew every single word to a Place for my Head, Crawling, and In the End, and i think i still most of it. anyway, they were a pretty good band to start out with, cuz they were kinda half rock half rap in sum of their songs

Hmm.... I think it was this one song from Weezer. Islands from the Sun? I liked the "hip hip" part. I think that was the only reason I listened to it.

Jethro Tull. My dad listened to them a lot(still does) and I really took a shine to them. My fav CD was "Songs From the Wood". Good stuff, I still play it every once and awhile.

This is a tough one not to lie about haha. okay okay here i go...when i was 6, 7 maybe 8 around there, i was obsessed with the backstreet boys. Then it was Nsync. Yeah enough said...i absolutly hate them now and dont understand why i bought any of they're cd's or bought anything of theres..giving them my money just gives me the chills. They discust me now. No i dont listen to anything like that anymore. thank god for that.


O yeah ..i listened to hootie and the blowfish with my dad 2..wasnt my choice.

I can actually remember the first song I ever liked. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in my uncle's pickup truck and we were listening to some classic rock station. Jimmy Hendrix's "Voodoo Child" came on. I was completely mesmerized. I waited for it to come on again and I taped it. I could play that song a million times and still be amazed with it.

But the first band I ever really got in to was Green Day.

hmmm raised on classic rock, led zeppilen, pink floyd, the doors, the who, iron maiden, black sabbath, the beatles, jimmy hendrix, the grateful dead... good stuff. around age 9 or 10 got into greenday and blink 182 and linkin park and stuff. dont like blink or linkin park any more. i like classic rock alot still and other than that all i like is like, metal i guess, and some punk i guess. the sex pistols too! i think round age 10 when found out bout them :-D

Haha! OMG... um when I was little, and I remember because I was really little, I liked Metallica. Then after that is when I fell in love with Our Lady Peace, whom I still love today, and have all of their CDs. Agh.. then I liked Aqua(Barbie Girl). It was cool because I had lost their CD years ago, then a few days ago, my sister found it in her closet, and it's still playable!

The first band I ever liked was U2. When I was younger I didn't like music. In fact, I hated music. But for some reason I didn't mind listening to them.But Marilyn Manson made me get into heavier music.

Apparently our mothers have very similar tastes :D I was raised on bands/artists like GnR, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Aerosmith, Billy Idol, Metallica, and many more. Unfortunately by the time I was born my mom wasn't quite as much into metal as before, so I never got to hear a lot of the Maiden she used to listen too until I was older, lol.

I grew up in Bremerton. MXPX used to be cool. Most of the band members grew up within a mile or two of where I lived. Their last good album was Life in General. Now they suck.

i liked blink 182 in 4th grade and i bought a single called " all the small things by them. but the first cd abulm i bought was efiel 64, and the only reason i bought it was for " BLUE" but those guys were serious nerds and i donlt know y i liked tghat song its repetitive and pointless.

Even though im only 14 the first band i liked were the beatles. My dads a total hippy and grew up in teh 60's so i basically grew up on that too i still like beatles jimmy hendrix the doors the who and some other 60's stuff but not as much anymore
