I just got a new ps2 becasuse my old one broke and it came with the modem. What games are fun to play online. I ahve no idea which ones to get except ff11. Any help?

don;lt bother getting ffxi for the ps2, just buy it for pc u'll save money, but get twisted metal online, tony hawk under ground, madden, and socom those ones are great,

Wow. Did you read anything that he said. He got a new PS2, not a Xbox. Im sure Halo would be awesome, thats if he got a new Xbox.

A game that I liek to paly online is SOCOM: U.S. Nacy SEALs also Midnight Club II. Those games are fun.

i dont have any online games cuz i dont like the idea of monthly payments. but if it werent for that id get ffxi, that game looks pretty sweet and its final fantasy so you know its gonna be good.

and i always hear people talking about socom games, so those might be worth checking out. and first person shooters are fun regardless, especially with other people, so im sure any FPS would be a good pick.

ok u guys are pretty stupid....
he said ps2 and u guys are all saying halo which isnt online for consule games (iam not sure if its online for pc)
but anyway to clear stuff up u dont have to pay a fee to play games online for ps2 but some games (the ones that are only online) do require a fee
there arent many online games out for ps2 yet but if u like football i would get madden
if u like shooters i would get tribes aerial assult (even though i havnt played it online it seems pretty good)
and last but not least i recomend getting Lotr: return of the king when u play that online its basicly the same as multiplyer u work together to compelete mission and task or watever

um need for speed underground is an awesome online game
ffxi but that requires a monthly fee
socom is pretty fun online and a good time waster

You don't necessarily end up losing more money by getting the ps2 version of FFXI just cuz you have to have the hard drive to play it. I want a HD for my PS2 anyway, so whether i get FFXI for comp or PS2 i'm gettin' a HD regardless.

But if you don't wanna spend the money for the HD then Tony Hawk Underground is the only good online game I can think of for consoles. Most good online games are on PC.

I personally think that you'd be better off playing a free online game like runescape or neopets since for most games you have to pay to play, but don't get me wrong, I'm personally waiting and hoping they make a .hack online game. Otherwise I suggest an army game like socom.

Like other people have said SOCOM is a great game to get and play online.
FF11 is pointless through console, you have to buy the adapter (you already have it whatever), get the cables, get and internet service, then get an account for the game. Whereas for the computer you just get an account. Tadaa.

but dont you have to do most of that stuff with a pc to get internet ^_^
i would get ff11 for it cause it takes forever to instal and update if u had a choice between the to i would go with the ps2 verison and the pc controls for ff11 are really crapy even though i think you can change em

i really dont like the everquest verison for ps2 its gets really hard once you hit level 10 but i like the world better it seems big and theres no loading between zones
champions of norroth looks really cool though its like baoulders gate dark alliance but its online! XD

socom navy seals, thats a fun game. ff11 isnt a very good idea on the ps2 because you need to get a whole bunch of stuff for it, like others already said. having a brain fart here..i dont remember anything else

You should play socom2 i just got a modem thingy for my ps2 and socom2 is awesome. Some others are tony hawk underground and im not sure but i think timesplitters 2 is an online game. Also the new resident evil i think its called outbreak or something
