I KNOW my team will be in. The Patriots. They're a powerhouse this year.

What team do you guys want to be in it this year, in other words, out of the teams remaining, who are you rooting for?

but, my team, the philadelphia eagles, are my pick for the superbowl. :)

Falcons and Jets....
look how that turned out.... vick and pennington both got injured... and my steelers got screwed... maddouz should nto return next season... they need to draft a qb or do an all ohio state 1/2 rounds.... CB-Gamble, RB-Clarret.... yeah thats wheat we need...

well my picks were Steelers and Eagles,and this was week 10 when i said this when the eagles went 7-3 and i said they were doing bad,i remember posting it,but i dont cant find it,and im positivie that the eagles will make it,maybe steelers next year,and if they do get clarett,it can fulfill bettis when he comes to retirement,but what the steelers really need is a secondary,there secondary is getting knocked around,that is y i see them running 3-4 formation.

and in the new engl and colts game,im gonna go with the colts,i mean manning is hot right now,if i recall,i think it was 8 td's in the playoffs? 3 against chiefs on the road,and 5 against the broncos,who both have good defense,

Aww geez. I'm feeling a lot of Patriots hatred in this thread. Being a resident and fan of the Patriots, I obviously have to go with the Pats. Their defense (especially at home) is a hell of a lot better than the Chiefs and the Broncos. The Pats also beat the Colts in their last meeting because of their great defense. It'll be a close one again, but I'm going with the Pats in the AFC.

The Eagles obviously have the NFC title all wrapped up as long as they can keep the running game of the Panthers in check.

For the Superbowl, I, again being the Pats fan, gotta go with my home team. A 13 game winning streak cannot be denied. The Pats may not have as much raw talent on their team like the Colts do, but they manage to get the job done. They won it two years ago. I'm saying that they can do it again.

Tom Brady was never a good qb huh? If the Patriots didn't have Tom Brady this year, they would not be in the AFC Championship game because they would have NO offense. You can say all you want about the Patriots defense being great, and it is, but to win 15 games you have to have some offense. And I think it's safe to say that a qb who was 3rd in the MVP voting is at least a good qb. And doesn't it make sense that since your obviously a Ohio State fan that you would hate on a Michigan player? You won't admit the obvious and say that Tom Brady is a great qb because he went to Michigan.

Yeah your right, if the Eagles slow down the Panthers running game, Jake Delhomme won't be able to beat them and Philly will win. But you make it sound like stopping Stephen Davis and DeShaun Foster is easy. It's not. Plus, the Eagles do not have a great rush defense.


OK. It's time for my predictions. But first, just for kicks, my preseason Super Bowl prediction:
Green Bay vs. New England

The Eagles will not be able to slow down the Panthers running game, and Jake Delhomme will be efficent enough to win the game for the Panthers.

In my mind, the New England/Indianapolis game is not much of an argument. New England virtually the same team they had when they win the Super Bowl in 2002 over the Rams. New England has the best defense in football. That qb whose not any good, Tom Brady, will destroy the Colts weak secondary. The Patriots will win and go to Houston.

OK, so I have Carolina from the NFC and New England from the AFC in the Super Bowl. This is simple. The Panthers best weapon is their running game and the Patriots have one of, if not the, best rush defenses in NFL. The Patriots best offensive weapon, regardless of Spaz's playa hatin, is Tom Brady and the passing game. The Panthers defensive weakness is their secondary. I was on the Patriots bandwagon in the preseason so why would I jump off now?The Patriots will win without much resistance.

If not for bledsoes injury brady would be outta the league... or 3rd on the patriots depth chart....

and about the Defense... its a bunch of no name guysplaying with their lifes.... Brusci has what 80 tackles this year? all he did was that interception... he is a playmaking lb with few playmaking plays...

the only reason the panthers won were because the practicly beat up Mcnabb it should of been a roughing the passer but no the reffs didnt call it errrrr
we also lost cuz the eagles backup qb isnt to good :unhappy:

Well maybe the Panthers did win because they were beating up McNabb but come on... if a team is good they should have more people to depend on than McNabb. I think the Panthers did have a good chance being the Eagles in the first place anyway. The last time Panthers lost to Eagles... they did EVERYTHING wrong but they didn't lose by too much.

the carolina reall has nothing much but luck in my eyes,but since the patriots beat the steelers 2 years ago and stopped steelers from reaching superbowl,im going with the panthers still

but u mentioned more people to rely on than mcnabb,now delhomme only threw 15 passes in the entire game against philly,surely not relying on him,deshaun foster and stephen davis sat out alot of plays and gave deshaun foster time,so stephen davis isnt relyable,but wat thing i like about the panthers,is that the waste time off the clock,they run the ball,and thats y they rotate runners,but taking 35 mins in a game is taking alt of time,and it helps to win a game in lowscoring

no, the eagles lost because one, they have no defense, i mean delhomme was running on them, jake delhomme for gods sake, no offensive line, mcnabb was either taking a beat, or throwin interceptions, he folds under pressure, but i have to give credit to pantehrs defense and espicially my boy ricky manning... so basically panthers won because they are the better team.

the questionable first down call..... yeah panthers stopped them but the ref doesnt know where to spot the football...
