I was walking around NYC yesterday, and oddly enough, for the first time ever, i noticed that right outside of CBGB (blegh!) they named a small portion of E 2nd st "Joey Ramone Place".
That's the true american dream. To be in a punk rock band, die, and have a street named after you.
If you're ever on the bowery go take a look.

I was supposed to go to that where they were going to change the street name. My friends mom is good friends with Joey Ramones mother.

When I lived in NYc for a short time I remember I had seena street named after a punk rock musician, I guess it was that one. Hmm pretty cool. Now only if they did that for I.T. techs. :p
