Sims 2 you can direct their life more , Like things that happend in the childhood will effect your Sim.You also get to control how they grow up from childhood to teen to adult. And as they age they have memories which shapes them as they grow. Also the sims have lifespans now each one is infant, toddler, child, teen, adult and elder. The oldest they can be is they usually die when they become grandparents around there. There will also be no expansion packs with the sims2... and its coming out early spring 2004. hope that helps ;)

no but really the sims is an ok game at first, you play it for maybe a month, then get bored, the xpack comes out, you buy it, play a month.. it has no real replayability value. i think that in some ways its a pretty boring game but thats just me. if you said no xpacks mayb i would consider buying it instead of hearing about all this crap that you only get if you buy the xpack. now its like they made it too complex and i doubt that anyone but the most hardcore players will play multiple lives from birth till death.

i want sims 2 too, but they dont have it for the mac :cry: its coming out at the beginning of february. the 4th or 8th, i think.
its gonna b great! the sims actually grow up and u can actually interact with the babies, who grow to toddlers, its AWESOME!

The first one isnt fun unless you go the expansions, but not all of them. All you really want is House Party and Liven Large if you want to keep it simple.

but anyway, Sims 2.

In my time I've played the sims one time, and it was a while back. Bad experience I might add. My guy got depressed after a day because he had no work, his wife didn't love him, the kids acted like spawns of satan, and the house was constanly dirty. Sinse then I never gave this game another chance. Maybe I should some day in the future.

I would have to agree with you Vash. They have way too many expansion. Sims 2 still seems interesting to me. I would've had the release date around Christmas though. I'm willing to bet they would make more sales like that. I don't see myself getting the Sims 2 though with all these other games i'm saving up for.

Oi one of my friends had it on pre-release from the company since hes got frazy connections. He was charging $20 for an hour of playtime... and three people gave it to them... morons.

I want to get the game, but I can't see myself finding time to play. Thanksgiving I only get a week and I'm still going to have work to do... *sigh*. But from watching this guy play, it looks better, but not so much that I would love the game.

Holy crap people actually play sims? I always just used the code and build a really neat looking house. If I buy sim2 I'll probably do the same thing... but they'll probably disable the code so I'll have to play ;(

Not the Sims again. I can't find a reason why people want to play this game. Maybe to fulfill their own fantasies while trapped in their own boring, dead-end lives? Who knows? Who cares?
I've got a few additions to add to the Sims 2, just to make it a bit more interesting....

Home invasions! Watch powerlessly while your Sims are held hostage and their belongings taken from them by armed assailants! And if they fight back, they all get killed execution style in the back yard so you can start all over again.

Random Freak Accidents - Watch your Sims die in horrible accidents like getting struck by a falling satellite, shocking air crash, nuclear apocalypse and more!

Nope.... still wouldn't buy it. Why spend quality time with family and friends when you can create and play god with your own in a sad doll-house simulator!

it's pretty kool. but after a bit it's just craped. i mean the new face control thingy and decendent lookin thing is cool but i wouldn't say it's eminent. what i'm really for r the codes. i haven't got many. but for starter. "motherlode" can help alot if ne1 needs it.
