They are a "Pop-Punk" band who used to be pretty good, but their music has slowly declined in creativity and has lately become very mainstream sounding.

I like their semi-insane old song. Pretty fly for a white guy, and why dont you get a job are my faves. I found them through a DBZ music video (O_o) and pretty much have liked them ever since. American is probably one of there best songs as well. Though id admit they arent the BEST sounding people around they still have some talent... Just little lime light

Pretty Fly For a White Guy got almost non-stop play on mtv in like '98 or so. It was constantly being played. I think they had plenty of lime-light.

dumb..... Their best album was "Smash" in my opinion, but ever since Americana they have been much worse. "pretty fly for a white guy" , "y dont u get a job" , and "hit that" are their worst songs.

Anyways back on topic. Offspring WAS a good band. Ixnay was their last good album, although Americana had its moments. Original Prankster was a funny song for a while, but it, just like majority of their more mainstream stuff, was WAY overplayed. I've liked the Offspring for a long time, and I thought almost everyone at the very least knew who they were. I'm amazed to see all these people who haven't even heard of them. I've been into them since when I was in 5th grade (bout 7 years ago) when I first started listening to 107.7 the end (Used to be the best radio station in Seattle). Offspring isn't anything special now though.

i like the offsprings. new and old. but isn't it that bands older stuff are always better? i mean, for example, i think rancid's old stuff is better than their new, same goes for other bands. maybe the bands just can seem to top their old hits. shrug.

offspring are one of my favorite bands. go to see them live not too long ago, great show...especially when they played bad habit. just got my brother ignition for christmas...have yet to listen to it so as of right now my fav album still remains smash.
