Do you enthusiastically tell everyone you like anime or do you like it secretly and only tell someone you feel is open minded?

I don't enthusiastically tell people, but I don't keep it to myself.
The reason I don't enthusiastically tell people:
I'm not very enthusiastic, and most people at my school don't even know what anime is. So, I save the little enthusiasm(sp?) I have for more important things.
The reason I don't keep it to myself:
Its always good to meet new anime fans :)

Yup, I watch anime with my friends, I've even watched some w/ a kid who doesnt like anime that much, altho he's startin to like it a lil. He liked Hellsing, but who wouldnt. ;)

i find no need to define myself as someone who watches anime....like: "hello, my name is christine and i watch anime"....that's not how i introduce myself......they usually either find out by themselves or i'll randomly start talking about it....

I just only talk to it with my friends. But in public I just keep to myself. Everyone at my school thinks all anime such as Trigun and Big O is "Pokemon" It really pisses me off hearing that.

If they ask where my interests lie then sure I'll tell them but other then that I don't really care to discuss anime with my friends...It's not like it's a big deal or anything it's just something I'm into..I don't really care what they think of it.

Well, I used to keep it to myself, because back when I first loved anime, I was seven and no one even knew what it was. Then one day some kid said "Wow, you draw like anime" And I was like "YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT ANIME IS?" Then I started telling everyone ^-^

I dont care who knows I watch anime; I think its cool so nothing else really matters. My friends know I like it and take the p!ss sometimes but I really couldn't care less.

I guess I'm pretty open about it... But it's not like I go running around screaming it. I simply have anime collages on my binders and whatnot. A Kenshin bookbag too. ^-^ And sometimes I'll read Animerica whenever I get a studyhall in school (and I don't have work to do). Conversational wise, I don't talk about it unless something uber cool happened, or it's brought up by another person.

Yup, just like me, buddy. And if they try to put me down for watching anime, who cares, all the people who hate anime have never given it a chance. Sure there's some that aren't good, but there're great ones too. It's true.

With anime I'm kinda how I am about playing Magic. I don't go around like "I watch anime" or "I play Magic", it's just kinda something that either no one wants to hear, or they'll strike up a conversation about it. It's not like people don't know I like it. I have the "Ninja Scroll: the Series" issue of Animerica in the plastic front of my binder and I play Magic every morning at school right out in the multipurpose room, so it's not like I hide it, but it's not something that needs to be brought up all the time.
What I truly think is funny is people who try to badmouth others for liking to do things that they deem "kiddy" such as watch anime or play card games. Just because pokemon happens to be an anime and a card game doesn't mean that all anime and/or CGs are like it. FAR FROM IT, although the pokemon CG was what got me into Magic, cuz a friend pointed out how much better Magic is than Pokemon and taught me how to play and now I agree =) I hate pokemon now, and I'm glad I got past that phase. But people who talk **** about you for liking something that they don't think you should are stupid. I watch anime, I play Magic, I play computer games, I skate, I listen to music, I draw sometimes, I drink and smoke bud like a mad motherf.ucker, so obviously I like a wide variety of things, and yet a lot of people don't realize it, because of the fact that they are close-minded. And close-minded people can end up being some of the worst people. Hitler for example.

i dont walk up 2 ppl and say 'i like anime!'. that'd be stupid. i tell ppl my love of anime by ALLL of my anime-style doodles. very few ppl in my class (only 9!), so just about every1 knows i am an otaku.

I like anime and all but its not my obsession to tell everyone about it, only time i do is when im drawing a picture and they ask, "You like anime?"
So im in, i don feel i have to talk about it, its not my lifes purpose, its not the only thing i have to do in life, so im not going to bother talking about it my entire life

Hmm.. if they mention anything about it.. I'm saying something. I'll tell ANYONE I love anime. My friend George took my Castle In the Sky DVD from me and has my English teacher turn it on. Someone asked who it belonged to and I said me. I didn't care. All the preppy ass boys are like "OMG, This is for little kids!!"

I saw this chick with an Ein plushie and I'm like "OMG!!" I started running after her. I was so excited. Then I saw her again, and showed her all the shounen ai in my planner. She said "AWWW!! Yaoi!!"

i'm in the middle. sometimes i blurt it out like i go "i'ma gonna go home and watch my anime!!" but not that much cause most of my friends have no idea what anime is with the exception of my really close friends. i dont really go around saying it. but i do bring it up whenver something like cartoons gets into a conversation

I like to be open about my feelings, so yeah. Although, I only tell ppl that i like anime if they seem to like it as well. It seems a lot of students at my skool dont like anime or manga because it's too "childish", but i dont really care. If they dont like it, i wont say anything about it. If they do, well, thats cool. I might chat to them about whats the best anime or how do the characters get their hair to stand up like that lol

Lo everyone i know knows. For instance my teacher was assigning the class an art project and we had to find a painting. Immidiatly the teacher said" And no max no anime" Lol
