Is There A Point?

Is there a point why Anime is mainly fiction? Don't get me wrong, I love Anime as well. But sometimes, it doesn't make sense to me why it's even Fiction.

If I made an Anime, it would be crazy. I would have crackheads, killers, "good people," demons of all sorts, etc.

I know that. But the movies are the same way. They have many movies that are fiction, and many that are non-fiction. So why can't Anime be the same way?

What in history do you want an anime version of? I'd watch an anime version of WWII. heh

That's not true, although it's not true storyes, there's more anime about everyday normal people like going to school, getting bad grades and sports like tennis. Compared to that, most cartoons here is about super heroes saving the day and that is more fictional.

The answer is simple. There's a saying that was made to explain why people gossip. The old proverb goes, "The Lie is 10x more entertaining than The Truth." If you think about it, that's usually true. But of course, there's always exceptions. Authors are "creative writers" hence, the term, "creative writing". Being creative has to do with the imagination. Do you understand now?

P.S. That's not really an ancient saying passed down from generation to generation. Actually, I made it up. LoL

thats what the fun of anime is fiction. its kool to make up a story about demon fighting, robot flying, bounty chasers. there all sweet. i guess mostly anime is fiction, because ppl dont want to see an anime about normal cops chasing down bad guys. they want to see blood, bullet shooting, sword swinging people.

I understand creative writing. But, authors can too be creative with reality. Can they not be?

Well authors actually have reasons to be fictional it adds to their stories and makes them much more intresting. Fiction just adds to thing such as adding flying and special abilities or magical places etc. . Personally i find those stupid nonfiction books a waste of time for the reader :sleeping: and for the writer.

Don't get me wrong here, Fiction is a great thing. Because it shows the imagination and the creativity of the author. But, in your opinion you say that Nonfiction books are a waste of time. What makes them such a waste of time?
