Worst Gundam Series

Well I once again am not passing up an opportunity to which I can make fun of GW. Which do you think is the worst gundam series?

Me, I say Gundam Wing. It just plain sucked. It had a totally rehashed plot from the first. Everything was a do over from the first but alot worse. Then theres the shallow characters, jesus they were so shallow, even worse they didn't make sense. Heero:"I must kill you" Releena" "Like o my god! You must totally love me"

Then the characters were made to powerful. As in nothing could beat them, look at it, it leaves so many plot holes from things they do to ms that kill them then when the enemy does it to them it does nothing. Not to mention how many episodes were just pure nothing. Just a waste of film.

*Note Sd Gundam isn't there because it dosen't count as a series
*And no putting what you think is the best, because chances are it probably isn't

Oh, and I dunno what you people are smoking, but 08th MS Team was the second best Gundam series.

Marth, you actually said the original MSG was the worst. Has Gundam Wing and G-Gundam influenced you THAT much?? MSG was the series that started it all, not just with the mecha but combining realistic human emotions and ambitions instead of the typical "good guy vs bad guy", and was one of the first to truly show the depth of anime compared to US cartoons. I'm starting to wonder whether you even watched more than one episode....

Oh, and if you like Evangelion or Rahxephon, then give yourself a kick in the ass cuz the original MSG was the biggest influence to both of those series.

just becuase a series starts it off, doesnt mean its good. i liked the first g series myself, but it being the first dont make it good, and i dont what happened, exile was right.. i somehow got G and 08 team mixed up.. 08 was one of my fav, but g, just sucked, you know what was guna happen, piloting style was so damn gay, and plot sucked.

Well, the only BAD Gundam series EVER was SD. I personally liked Wing, cause Epyon was one of the coolest MS I've ever seen and Heero was a badass, less so in the ending than in the beginning, but still a badass nonetheless. And Captain Communist, I understand you thinking the characters had no depth, and I agree with it somewhat for the series, but when Endless Waltz came out it added a lot of depth to the five pilots, and then the Episode Zero manga added even more.

What I'd like to know is why some of you think the original MSG is bad. And if you state anything relevent to its age, then your opinions becomes invalid.

I think the original was great, but it could have been better with the inclusion of one element: Char killing Amuro, cause Char was a badass, and Amuro, well, Amuro wasn't. It's kinda strange that in the original MGS I hated Amuro and Char was my fav, but in Wing I hate Zechs and Heero is my fav. Maybe cuz Zechs looks like a queer and Amuro's a pansy for the first half of the series.

Well first off, the characters enver had depth especially Heero who ran around in short shorts. Endless Walz did nothing but give us good mech fight scenes. It told us what had already happened, and just had trowa standing around emotionless for awhile. At least in EVA they gave us a reason why Rei was emotionless. Episode Zero was just endless waltz minus the fight scenes. It just tried putting in a storyline and failed once again.
As far as MSG, if you paid attention har dosen't die in the first series but dies in Chars Counter Attack with Amuro.

I think most of us, including myself HATE SD Gundam. let's face it, half the wonder of gundam is the art and the computor 3-D work ruins that. The second flop is that the gundams are all based off others as far as I know. Third, the gundams personality's are nothing like I think it should be. "Zero The Winged Knight" should have a hard but loving to a point personality. Like Heero from Gundam Wing. Last, I think that the show would be more traditional to gundam seires if the characters maybe wore a suit or something that could turn into the gundam. That would turn it back to the gundams that we all know and love.

I personally enjoy Gundam Wing. It was the first Gundam series I watched.
G Gundam was slightly cool, too.
But the worst, IMO, is Z Gundam.

It's kind of sad that the best Gundam was made 10 or so years ago: 08th MS Team.

Why is that the best Gundam? For once, Sunrise didn't make a train wreck series that stops making sense in the middle; the story actually made sense and the ending actually wasn't WTF. Plus, they actually had action coordinators directing the show so it actually looked like real fighting instead of using the same frames over and over again and making it look like it was a badly patched together fan made video.

Plus, 08th MS Team had no senseless cannonfodder slaughter by a couple of god Gundams that can't be mass produced for no reason; the main characters were the usual cannonfodder. Finally, the show's like Vietnam except with Gundams; you automatically win with that.

G Savior was awful. You didn't see the gundam fight until the end and it was awful. It made you realize that there isn't much lighting in space. Star Wars, Star Trek, all those space sagas you see the ships clearly, but they should have really heavy shadows instead. BUT THAT'S NO EXCUSE TO BLACK OUT THE GUNDAMS! All you saw was eyes and the occasional shoulder piece. They fought like toy robots and didn't even jet around! The actors were horrible and generally miscast (Why wasn't she the lead female? I like her better!) not to mention the corny dialog. It's like they made it on a million dollar budget, because you know, Gundam isn't a big name. Sheesh.
