I barely read Space Butler's thread where he lists a bunch of punk bands he recommends... He doesn't recomend The Misfits?
The Misfits are fuc|<ing great!!! Well, I guess its just his opinion, but that pissed me right off. Who else here likes The Misfits? I can't possibly be the only one.

heh ive never been a big misfits fan. what can I say? some of their songs are alright, but they never impressed me much. I do like the song Horror Business though. I dunno, I think I dislike them for the same reason I dislike afi, I'm not sure what it is, but whatever it is it bothers me.

there is something about the misfits that even tho my tastes have changed over the years, i still adore them. i think it just might be danzig. that man is gorgeous, his voice, his presence. but yeah. i like the entire static age album. it was always my favorite. tho i cant say i dislike anything they did. except that whole formings a new band, with out glen danzig, yet using his songs.. that was uncalled for and a BIG mistake. i thought they sounded horrid. but im just biased. either way were great.

Thats because Glenn Danzig is one of the best rock singers ever, Michael Graves is just OK.

the older misfits material was incredibly good, almost god-like, it was pure raw power witht he amps turned up all the way up and blasting guitars,,it wasnt about fills or insane tuning, it was about power and jerry only, glenn danzig and the rest all showed that, the new misfits(an excuse for such an awesome band) is nothing compared to the days when jerry had his custom bass with the metal headstock weldeed on, no the line-up is something like, dez(from black flag),marky ramone(from the Ramones,greatest punk band to grace the earth) and jerry only, they played at a local show and i sadly missed that show,yet somehow it most likely wouldnt have compared to their glory days,
plain and simple, the original misfits ruled, and despite their newer stuff, they still do because they were an original punk band who couldnt give a $hit about the corporate money involved,,so yes,,im a fan

Yea im a fan but as a couple of other people said I also think that there old stuff is better than there new stuff i mean its still good but not as good as the old stuff....some songs hmm
