FF7: AC looks pretty kool but squares first attempt at a movie was very dissapointing... have their ways changed in movie making? lets hope so! i think these pics were released from a small movie clip. if anyone knows where to watch that clip, please post the site.

FF7 was my least favorite of all the games, but since no movies have been done for any of the other games it might be kind of interesting. (even though I hate the plot) chances are though that they're going to ruin it.... that tends to happen a lot. Like New Renz said, just look at The Spirits Within.

*shutters* Sephiroth...looks like someone i know and it scares the living hell out of me...to much eye shadow! that and i cant tell who is the person in the 3rd pic...if its seph then he cut his hair alot and colored it...personaly im not to crazy about the idea for a movie...i would prefere a game 100:3 but thats cause im not a movie person...id rather work for the plot and have more in the plot then just find it out every minute and not do anything for it

i got the trailer earlier this week but the site hosting it has been taken down. it looks pretty good. had some fighting scenes with cloud and sephiroth. oh and sephiroths hair isnt over his shoulder. it is short =P

it takes place 2 years after FF7. well it doesn't say he's alive, it could jus be sumthing from cloud's past. the graphics look great and its more of a realistic look than the anime look that wuz used in the original game. but i hope they don't screw it up or else i will grow angry and slap Tetsuya Nomura in the face, and he wouldn't like me when i'm angry *start getting bigger and turning green*

here is my 3 reasons
1) It will only be 60 minutes in running time.

2) It will be released as an OVA which arent for television or theaters

3) Square Pictures to Final Fantasy: The Spirits Withins failure went bankrupt and no longer exists.There would be no way to make the dvd's contents to theaters unless Square-Enix created another production company, which is something they most likely won't be doing in the future

the characters will be:
Cloud
Sephiroth
Mystery Man ( im guessin his dad,but didnt they die)

Whether or not any of the other old main characters such as Barret and cid,tifa and so on will show up anywhere in the dvd is unknown to the general public. However .. considering fans are looking forward to seeing new character models for all the main characters, I doubt Square-Enix will leave the fans lingering, and will include them somehow despite whatever way the storyline has turned, be it in flashbacks or other excuses to show their faces.

you guys...ken has a point. stop screaming your brains out about how sephiroth died and how dead people cant come back to life!!! there is an explanation!! thats the whole point of the movie! i also dont get why some people dont like the character models.. i think theyre fine the way they are. i mean ive actually seen the trailer. you all have just seen a few pictures. if you see the characters in action, i think youde appreciate the models more.

oh don't be so quick to judge! the first movie may have sucked but that doesn't mean that square hasn't learned from it's mistakes. well you can't expect it to become a box-office hit because not that many people in the U.S. have even played nor have even heard of it. it's just us people that do like the RPG genre of games that make these things successful.

he holds his sword underhand, its a diff sword, hes shorter then cloud who is shorter then seph, he has less muscle then seph
THERE IS NO EVIDENCE that seph is in the main story, his small piece in the fire is a flash back

this is 2... count it, 2 years after meteor
not 500 like in redXIII times (end of the game)

a virus called Planet Scar Syndrome (they say Star, but it is translated properly as planet) is killing HUMANS
and almost all of the humans are gone
the planet may be absorbing lifestream from ppl to make up for the ones used after meteor and holy clashed

clouds sword is not the buster swod
he leaves that at zacks grave as a tombstone or memorial
this one is longer and new
the bike is diff too, it is called fenrir (dont ask me lol this is what square said at the tokyo game show, you wont find anything at their site)

AS of now, Square has NOT planned on making any kinda of new ff7 for the ps2, only the CG movie, so there will not be a game wiht the movie. Mine would be........................Aeris death scene......by far.

Just one more question. People's thoughts on Aeris' fate. I read one person's theory......that holy actually brought her back. A bit far fetched, but we do see her at the end of the game. I think it is just her, happy in the Lifestream, after having brought it to the aid of Holy.

And the guy in Advent Children could be any number of Sephy clones.

They're my guesses too. Most probably Seph, considering what Cloud was like after falling through the Lifestream.
Also, earlier there was comment on someone asking forgiveness. I beleive this is Sephy, within lifestream....going through the same thing that Cloud and Tifa experienced.

In my openion FF the spirits Within wasnt that great because it was a new idea so it could suck like ff8. (sorry but thats my openion) AC is froma game alot of ppl know and love. So i think it will do better that FFSW.

Article in Hyper naming it as just a one hour movie, not game remake or sequel. But, they seem to beleive that it may be to generate some new interest in the FFVII world for a new game.........but that is only their speculation.

I don't know what you all know of it, I don't have the time to read through eight pages, but...the men with short hair-there are three. They are clones of Sephiroth. Sephiroth has to be alive or they wouldn't show pics of him...they ruined his lips! They look like two turds smooshed together! Anyways, Aeris is still dead. Supposedly, Cloud and Barret are in it, but not much else I know. I heard that they are making a better version of FFVII for PS2 with updated graphics. I dunno how reliable my source is, but whatever works, right? I think they are trying to even it out, though. They made FFX-2 with all three mains as girls, so they may make the movie have all three boys, oh, and to everyone who said Spirits Within sucked, you are so right! But I like it anyways, just because it is made by Square. I miss Chrono Trigger!! :(

I think that 7 wasn't the worst. It was one of the best, but they needed to make the game into the movie. It evokes different emotions on video than game form. I creid a little when Aeris died. What would happen if they had It on a movie, though? I would ball through the whole thing. Plus, it had a good storyline. The worst game they could ever make into a movie would be Secret of Evermore because of all the corny references to old movies. No offense, cause i liked the game, but it had a crappy storyline.

Well, I just saw the fansubbed preview last night and it looks pretty amazing. I dont care that FF7 is the most popular and the most overrated. I dont care that all you "old school" gamers want one of the crappier, older FF's to be made into a movie. I dont care that FF: The Spirit Within blew. I am going to see this and enjoy this. This isn't the frist time SquareSoft has mad a movie. They also made the spirts within which wasnt that good i think the movie was cool, and i belive i read about someone saying that games havent been made into movies yes they have Tomb Radier, Street Fighter but i dont know if the game MK came out frist or the movie. We were talking about that awhile ago. Everyone agreed that Spirits Within blew chunks. And, like I said, i don't know how reliable my source is, but supposedly Squaresoft IS making FFVII on PS2 with better graphics right now. I don't know if my sister is very reliable, seeing how she lies to me a lot. Has anyone in this chat room ever had a sister or brother who went in their room and played their system without asking and then without telling? Mine did, so now i keep my memory cards with me in my Playstation notebook.

Blah, they changed the looks of the characters, more "realistic" ... I feel it's easier to *role play* when the characters are anime-ish like the original FFVII. Though it's a movie, it still changed the characters. Same reason why I hate FFX... with its "realism" and bad clothes and voices...

I liked ten. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't explain how Auron died. I would have like to know how his arm was all messed up, too. I'm pissed that Crystal Chronicles is only gonna be on the Nintendo systems and that eleven is internet based! Not everyone has internet capabilities. Oh, well. Auron died when he was fighting alongside Braska in his first fight against sin. He also lost his arm during that. I do agree that in FFX, the voice acting (especially Yuna) wasn't that great. They should have just left it to imagination for us. The graphics were great though, even if they did look too realistic, they were still beautiful and breathtaking nonetheless!!

Anyway, the people who were involved with the making of Spirits Within aren't all the same people dealing with Advent Children. Most of the creators from FFVII are on this team, so I think they know what they are doing, and we should put more faith into Square-Enix, Square has been around for so long and pumped out games that everyone has loved for years now, why is everybody so wary of this project?? I think it's going to rock even if Sephiroth has "brown" lips.

Also, they are not making a remake of FFVII on the PS2. I just read a recent interview of Tetsuya Nomura and he explained that since FFVII is already pl;ayable on the PS2, there isn't really any reason to remake it, but he is still considering a game sequel, MAYBE

FF7 was my least favorite of all the games, but since no movies have been done for any of the other games it might be kind of interesting. (even though I hate the plot) chances are though that they're going to ruin it.... that tends to happen a lot. Like New Renz said, just look at The Spirits Within.

FF7 was a great game...who says it wasnt?! anyway...it had one of the greatest storylines in rpg history. also one of the first times the main character went crazy. anyway, thats my rant for the day. :p

There are only 3 silver haired people. Their names are Yazoo, Loz, and Kadaj (these names are the properly translated names by SQUARE-ENIX not independant translators!). We assume they are Sephiroth clones, as Nomura has hinted at. Jenova could never have children, besides the fact that shes an alien who was in cryogenic stasis for 2000 years , not to mention that the silver haired kids are around 17 years old, which would mean they would be later experiments of Hojo, rather then offspring of Jenova. Also, these three are THE/SOME of the Advent Children. Marlene may be one too.

Expect this movie to be released in Japan in one and a half months. US release date unconfirmed. But it will be on the PSP though. The PSP version (not the DVD version mind you) will be released around april next year.
