read the manga (first book), thought it was alright. Watched the anime, and thought it was good.
I prefer the anime, I thought the animation was crisp, clear, and all around well done. My only prob was that it was near exactly the same as the books (from what I saw).
Ill pick it up eventually.

I've read the first manga and I've only seen 3 episodes. But, from those 3, I found King of Bandit Jing very good. The animation was great, the artwork was also great. Hmm...I guess an overall grade would be...an A- perhaps? Sure, I found it great, but not THAT great.
...Uh, yeah. The main word in this post is 'great'. I'm using that too much.

I love the anime. I looked through the manga and I might get it wehn I have money. (like that will ever happen) thank god for the anime network. I would have never seen Jing without it.

Kir Royale!
I love JKoB. I haven't seen the anime and bought the manga just by a fluke, but now I love it. Jing is kinda what you'd get if you combined Gohan w/ Vash. The anime looks darker than the manga, is it good?
I can't wait for Volume Three in october.

personally, i think and anime is better than the manga, you get more stuff out of the manga, but it's actually better to see them move and stuff. watch it on the settings: japanese w/ subtitles if you could get it on dvd... he sounds good there. but you could watch it in english if you really want to watch it rather than read and watch at the same time.

It was my first ever manga buy. Not a bad pick for something I just got off the shelf at Barnes and Noble.
Especially cuz it's become my all time favorite. But I think the anime should explain some of the more abstract parts (like Adonis).

I very much prefer the anime. Jing looks so... bad in the manga. Just badly drawn. I'm sorry. Well, it helps that I've never read the manga, only watched the anime. It is much prefered.

What? lol, I think you just read the 1st Shot. You can see a considerable difference between the first Manga chapter, and the later chapters. Still, it's better drawn then some other mangas I've read. And the characters are just fun.
I finally got Volumes 3&4. So awesome. Four has a flashback of when Jing first met Kir, explains a bit, but most you have to figure out for youself.

Yay! Jing fans! I'm still collecting the Jing King of Bandits: Twilight Tales. The anime Jing is more like the Jing in TT, especially with the deeper voice. It kind of built up to Twilight Tales since the each volule of JKOB gets a bit more risque. No sex or anything, but definitely a bit more morbid. With things like "I will perform brain surgery on God -King of Bandits" written on a reciept.
